General Secretary of WFTU issued a solidarity message on 01.11.2024, conveying the sincere condolences of the WFTU Family with the Workers in Valencia affected by the Torrential Rain and the consequent flash flooding that hit the wider region the last days. More than 200 people lost their lives and many hundreds were deeply affected.

In a statement issued on 06.11.2024, by the General Secretary / WFTU, it is stated that the th WFTU honours the 107 Anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution. The October revolution led by the courageous and visionary Leaders of the Working Class, brought forth a new dawn for the oppressed and downtrodden. The Great October Socialist Revolution and its achievements changed the Global Correlation of forces in favour of Workers and Peoples. It proved that the organised struggle of the people can achieve victories that seem impossible.
WFTU, APRO extend its warm and revolutionaries greetings to the working people of the World struggling for a Socialist Society. A copy of the statement issued by WFTU is enclosed as Annexure-IV of this WFTU APRO Circular. The platform of Central Trade Unions of India jointly forwarded a protest letter to the Minister for Labour and Employment, Government of India raising objections on a letter issued by the Labour Department which trespasses the Administrative and Operational Boundaries laid down in the Trade Union Act 1926. A copy of the Joint Letter issued by the Central Trade Unions is enclosed as Annexure-V of this WFTU APRO Circular.
As bombing of Gaza by Israel continues for the second week without any pause, the people across Europe stepped up their solidarity initiatives with the people of Palestine and condemned the European states’ support of the war crimes committed by the apartheid regime in Israel
On October 22, a massive rally of around 30,000 people in solidarity with Palestine was held in the French capital, Paris. The mobilization was organized by a coalition of progressive activists calling for an “immediate ceasefire” and an end to the “massacre in Gaza.”
