All the WFTU Affiliated Unions of Asia Pacific Region 14.09.2024 Secretariat meeting of the WFTU and the Meeting of the WFTU Leadership with the Leaderships of the Trade Union Internationals connected with the WFTU and also the Coordinators of the WFTU Regional offices. WFTU rd affiliates to observe International Day of Action of WFTU on 3 October, 2024. th The next meeting of the Secretariat of the WFTU is scheduled to be held on the 19 Sept. 2024. After this meeting there will be a meeting of the WFTU leadership with the Leaderships of the TUIs connected with the WFTU and the Coordinators of the WFTU Regional Offices on the th st 20 & 21 of Sept. at Athens. The meeting will be discussing about the following important issues.
1) The 4 World Working Youth Congress on 22-23 of Nov. 2024 under the Slogan “Organised and Militant Working Youth, for dignified work and Life”. to be held at Marseille, France.
2) To finalise the WFTU declaration on the International Day of Action of WFTU on 3 Oct. 2024.
3) To finalise the slogans for the International Day of Action of WFTU on 3 Oct. 2024. All the WFTU Affiliates of Asia Pacific Region are requested to observe the International rd Day of Action of WFTU on 3 Oct. 2024 in a grand manner by publishing posters, holding public meetings, processions, & rallies etc. The documents from the WFTU Hqrs., will be forwarded to you shortly.
As bombing of Gaza by Israel continues for the second week without any pause, the people across Europe stepped up their solidarity initiatives with the people of Palestine and condemned the European states’ support of the war crimes committed by the apartheid regime in Israel
On October 22, a massive rally of around 30,000 people in solidarity with Palestine was held in the French capital, Paris. The mobilization was organized by a coalition of progressive activists calling for an “immediate ceasefire” and an end to the “massacre in Gaza.”
